Vanguard U.K. Investment Grade Bond Index Fund

(VAVGUKA) Vanguard U.K. Investment Grade Bond Index Fund - Institutional Plus GBP Acc

About this fund

Fund objectives

  • The Fund employs a passive management – or indexing – investment approach, through physical acquisition of securities, and seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg GBP Non Government Float Adjusted Bond Index (the “Index”).
  • The Index is a market-weighted index of pound sterling denominated investment-grade fixed-income securities with maturities greater than one year and a minimum issue size of GBP 200 million, but excluding certain sectors as set out below. The Index includes securities issued by corporate, securitised, and government-related/supranational entities, including non UK governments who issue securities in pound sterling, but excludes UK Treasury, UK agency and UK local authority issuers.
  • The Fund attempts to: 1. Track the performance of the Index by investing through physical acquisition in a portfolio of securities that, insofar as possible and practicable, consists of a representative sample of the component securities of the Index. 2. Remain fully invested except in extraordinary market, political or similar conditions where the Fund may temporarily depart from this investment policy to avoid losses.
